Heading towards the end of the summer I am hanging on to every last bit of the weekend there is. Back in July I stumbled upon the Kerr Village Handmade and Vintage market, a little treasure between Kerr & Westside Drive, a spot full of unique handmade and unique products made from our very own Oakvillians. I was surprised I hadn’t heard about this market before – it was the cutest little thing! It was really fun walking around and seeing what each of the vendors had. I picked up a bunch of gifts for upcoming events. What a great way to support the community!
It was very hot out so I enjoyed a salted-carmel piece of heaven from Foundry’s ice-cream and then enjoyed a fresh brew from the Brother’s coffee roasters. It was nice that puppies were allow to join the fun and walk around the market as well.
If you’re looking for something to do this weekend I would highly recommend to check out the vintage market! Bring your friends and family, meet the vendors and other people in the community. You might even pick up a few gems of your own for yourself or gifts for friends and family.
The handmade vintage market ran on June 11th, July 9th, and this weekend on August 13th in the last one! Admission is free, rain or shine, and from 10:00am-3:00pm.
